Flavour discovered Semah in Liberia in March 2017. Semah G Weifur used to see Flavour and MasterKraft, the music producer as his role models and wanted to meet them.
How Queen Juli Endee Helped Semah G Weifur To Meet Flavour And MasterKraft
In 2016, veteran Liberian singer, Queen Juli Endee, traveled to Lagos to collaborate with Flavour and MasterKraft on her new single “Atulaylay”.
Queen Endee met Semah G Weifur during a peace crusade at Christian Association of the Blind (CAB) in Liberia and Semah G Weifur told Queen Endee of his desire to meet her co-collaborators, Flavour and MasterKraft, and to also make music with them.
Flavour and MasterKraft later visited Monrovia, Liberia for a concert and news of Semah’s adoration got to Flavour. MasterKraft was the first to visit Semah after which he sent Flavour videos of the Semah G Weifur singing his music. Flavour was touched. He later left for Monrovia where he met with Semah.
Semah G Weifur and Flavour first met on 21 March 2017, at an event held in to honour Flavour in Liberia.
After Queen Endee introduced Flavour and Semah G Weifur, the blind boy, Semah took the microphone and sang Flavour’s 2016 ode to mothers, “MAMA”.
Later, Flavour posted on his social media handle: “I made a new friend Semah G. Weifur. He’s blind and sang my songs better than me.”
In June, 2017, Flavour released his 5th studio album, 'Ijele – The Traveler' which included “Most High”, a gospel duet featuring Semah, as the last track. “Most High” was released as an official single off the album, with a music video shot by Clarence Peters
